Plenty to show you today

What a fortnight it's been at the shop! With two deliveries of the scrumptious Cloverdale House by Di Ford-Hall, we were so busy filing all the pre-orders, we ran out of time last week to do a blog post. So this week we have plenty to show you.

Cloverdale House ~ Fat eighth packs also available
Twenty girls from Victoria, NSW and WA enjoyed a great day last Saturday with Di to make a start on their own Pendle Hill quilt. Di is always so generous with her ideas, and was happy to share with the class her latest ideas using the cream pillar print from her Cloverdale House range.

Back in stock is the Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Adjustable Square.  This ingenious tool allows you connect the pieces like a jigsaw to create a square ruler in varying sizes from 4" to 241/2". When you're done, just pack them all away in the sturdy and attractive storage case.  This has been popular with a number of Quilting Groups.  Consider asking your local group to include one of these handy tools in their library.

This week we received a few gorgeous fabrics from the Country French collection by Maywood Studios.  In soft aged colours of moss green, rusty red, mottled beige and slate blue, this border fabric will make a perfect finishing frame to a reproduction style quilt. Mix it with the overall floral which would also suite broiderie perse applique, and the gorgeous rusty red & moss green checks, or with the European Taupe self stripe in the mottled tan.

Country French border print and floral $24.50m

Country French red check and green check $24.50m   European Taupe X111 self stripe with tiny flowers $26.50m
More Template sets also arrived in the shop this week.  New to Thread bear are the Small Circles ~ 9 pieces 1" to5" plus the Lozenges ~ 9 pieces 11/4" to71/4" . Plus new "ispy" templates in a variety of shapes and sizes ~ perfect for fussy cutting.
Lozenges $21.790, Small Circles $21.90
Small Hexagons $21.90, Mini Hexagon set $17.50

With so many enquiries for pieces from the Millworks fabric range lately from ladies doing the current Mystery Quilt in Quiltmania Magazine, we thought it worth mentioning that we still have one fat eighth pack of the whole collection left, plus a few pieces still on the bolt.  So if you are hunting these fabrics, give us a call, or order through our website.

Millworks fabrics still available

As always, Sam has been working flat chat at the Shop...so today he is home putting his feet up.
Have a great weekend everyone!
