Look at these blocks...

We hope that everyone had a fantastic Australia Day and hope that the public holiday meant a day in the sewing room for many of you.....Threadbear had a day off too...so of course that meant a day in the sewing room for all us as well....
No fabric to show today because we were closed for deliveries yesterday but just look at what we do have to show you today.....more very tempting little peaks at Threadbear's new Block of the Month.

This fantastic quilt is designed by Megan Carroll using Mary Koval's stunning Tree of Life Palampore.  There are still a few places available if you would like to join us for this wonderful project...it is due to start in May and over 15 months you will have fun with Broderie Perse, appliqué and hand piecing.

So often we flick through our books of antique quilts and wish we had those beautiful vintage fabrics to work with. What makes this project so special is the wonderful blocks Megan has created using Mary Koval's Palampore.  It is an exact reproduction of a 1755 Palampore from Mary Koval's own collection, the colours a rich and authentic and now we have this wonderful opportunity to make our very own piece of history.
All the details are in our newsletter of you can call us at the shop if you have any questions.

Thank you once again to Karin for another fantastic show and tell...we are so glad Karin brings her quits to share for show and tell.....this quilt is for another gift for one of Karin's Granddaughters.....and she will be thrilled to receive this beautiful quilt.
This quilt was inspired by Di Ford's wonderful "Jane's Garden" and Di's beautiful applique centre was replaced by this great panel.  We will have Di's pattern for "Jane's Garden" available soon.

Karin was thrilled with the beautiful quilting done by Susan Campbell of Rowdy Flat Quilting....great quilting and it finishes this quilt off perfectly.

Sometimes it is so hard to come back to work after a public holiday....Sammy is easing himself back into the work week.
