Threadbear's Passionate Piecers.

Everyone, get your 2015 calendars at the ready, it's not too early to start thinking about our sewing plans for the new year.....right!
Well Exciting news for 2015.....Threadbear's Passionate Piecers.
If you love pieced quilts then this a date you will want to add to your new diary.  Just like Threadbear's Appliqué Group, Threadbear's Passionate Piecers will run as a friendship group to further the connections made between like minded women with a shared love of patchwork and quilting.  That means no committees, no membership fees and no hassles.  Just new friendships, lots of inspiration and a heap of fun.
So pens and diaries at the ready....our very first meeting will be on Saturday 14th March 2015 from 10 am to 3 pm.  Following dates will be the second Saturday in May, July, September and November.
The cost is $15.00 at the door and this includes lunch,tea, coffee and door prizes.  Seats will be limited so bookings will be essential and will only be taken by EMAIL.

We have the most fantastic new gadget...this great ruler has a 1/4" lip on the underside making  it perfect for adding a perfect 1/4" to you templates...it is strong enough to use with a rotary cutter and templates slide in easily against the lip of the ruler.....this ruler would be a great addition to the sewing basket.  They are $17.50 and you can call us or email us if you would like one.

And more good news, we have a new bolt of this wonderful shirting....who doesn't love these gorgeous pears...we sold out of this great fabric so quickly and so we are very pleased to get more....if you love it too it is $21.00 mt.

You know we always love it when you bring your show and tell in to share.  We were all in raptures the other day when Vera came in to show us her latest project...just look at all that amazing fussy cutting....good grief Vera your quilt is absolutely stunning...you are a fussy cutting star...it is a beautiful, beautiful quilt top and you have inspired all of us.

Not long now and the finall instalment of "Mountmellick" will be ready to go...Sammy has been helping us get organized. He always like to oversee our work and make sure we don't cut any corners.  So as soon as the next edition of Quiltmania arrives there will be a lovely "Sammy approved" parcel in the maill for all Mountmellick fans.
