It's always hard to go past a good bit of text or script on fabric - they always make interesting backgrounds or great lining for bags and other small projects.  Here's a gorgeous piece from Brenda Ratliff's range One Room School House.  These are old dictionary definitions, set in 4" columns and accompanied by charming etched illustrations.  This one definitely wont last long on the shelf!

More new fabrics arrived in store today, so stay tuned. Last Saturday 75 lovely ladies came to Castlemaine for Threadbear's first meeting this year of our Applique Group.  We kicked off the Group's TENTH year with the very talented Margaret McDonald as our guest speaker.  Margaret is a prolific award winning quilter and treated us to "just some" of her applique quilts.  We don't have room to show you all of them here, but click this link to go straight to our Instagram page and you'll find loads of photos to inspire you. If you'd like to join Margaret for a class at Threadbear, checkout our class list here and you'll find all the details of the dates and projects available.

Today, Sammy was pretty excited to see Donna and Jenny, two of his favourite customers, in the classroom today and wasted no time at all in jumping into Jenny's arms to say hello!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Most mornings at Threadbear, we start our working day with a few minutes of catchup and planning for the tasks and priorities for the day ahead.  This morning, however, someone couldn't seem to stay awake long enough to hear what needed doing, (and it wasn't Corliss or Megan! ) Clearly Sammy will not be bringing his A-game today!  Have a great weekend everyone!
