Red..Red...Red...Red and Green

Oh look at this gorgeous print...this is a print from the "Shenandoah" range...our first bolt sold before we could even get it on the blog, and thank goodness we were able to get more...because it is gorgeous...how beautiful is that trailing vine of jonquils...what a stunning border it would make.

And now for some red and green, we have a new delivery of an old favorite...."Red and Green Quilts and the Women Who Made Them...by Nancy Hornback and Terry Clothier Thompson.

This is such a pretty book, with great clear graphics for all the patterns...but one of the best things about this book, as well as lots of patterns for stunning red and green quilts, are the lovely stories that accompany each pattern in the book..the stories and the photos relating to each quilt tell us a little about the maker and really bring the quilts to life.

A big thank you to Judy for sharing her quilt with us...we remember when Judy came into the shop to start collecting fabrics for her quilt and we were so thrilled when Judy brought the finished quilt back for show and tell....mighty job Judy...your quilt is gorgeous.

Well, even Sammy is caught up in all the bustle that comes with the end of the financial year, stocktake and oh no...even more paper work...it has worn him out.
