We would like to thank Kerry for today's show and tell. Kerry came to Threadbear to get her blenders, backing and binding, so she could turn her cot panel into a joyful, bright and happy baby gift, and then came into the shop to show us the finished quilt.....naturally we had to share.
If you have some time to spare on Tuesday 25th February, and would like to help a great cause, then consider going along to a special afternoon tea to raise money for The Uganda Sewing Project. All money raised will be used to fund a women's refuge in Bwindi, Uganda. The Afternoon Tea will be held from 2.00 pm at the Lois Joel Arts Community Centre, 5 Sargood St. Altona...contact no. 939802511....RSVP 18th Feb. As well as afternoon tea there will be door prizes and a beautiful quilt raffle. Just follow the link if you would like to know more about this project making such a difference to the lives of so many women in Uganda. We all get such joy from our sewing and this project is empowering women to help their own community by teaching sewing skills, and making products to raise funds for their community...what a great idea.
